OUR CURRENT BIBLE STUDY: BE WEAK AND THEN YOU ARE STRONG
Memorize Proverbs 22:22-23: "Injure not the poor because they are poor, nor crush the needy at the gate; For the Lord will defend their cause, and he will plunder the lives of those who plunder them." (NAB)
Read Proverbs 22:22-29
Read 2 Corinthians 12:1-10
Questions:
- Who is poor?
- Are you poor and why?
- Why are the weak strong and the strong weak?
- What challenge do you think the Lord gives you to keep you coming to him for strength?
- With whom do you have the hardest time being weak?
Closing Question:
- What is your greatest weakness?
- Go around in a circle and share the greatest weakness you have. If others have the same weakness, have them raise their hands.
Call To Action:
- Every time you sin, confess it to someone in your Bible Study.
- Thank the person who is weak in your life and tell him/her you look up to him/her.
- With your parents approval, invite a homeless man out to eat. Don't just buy him food. Eat with him.
- Commit to being weak on a daily basis, and share with those who think you are strong about how weak you are.
